Before you purchase an air hockey table, it is recommended to consider a number of things. You need to know what the model should meet before you make a decision.

Below we will list a few tips that will help you find out if a particular air hockey table meets your taste and needs.

Quality

In general, the heavier the table, the better the quality.

If heavier and more robust materials are used, the table will naturally become heavier.

A basic air hockey table should be enough in case of recreational home use.

However, if you are looking for a table that is used intensively, a professional air hockey table is more suitable.

It can then be used at home as well as in public areas. A professional table can take a beating better and will wear out less quickly.

If you plan to use the air hockey table a lot, then it is recommended to go for a sturdy model.

Even if you are looking for a table that will be used daily by large groups, you should definitely take this into account.

Material playing field

The playing field is in most cases made of an MDF board with a High Gloss layer, or is otherwise made of stainless steel.

The materials differ in durability. The plastic layer on the MDF board will wear out sooner, because it is glued to the MDF.

The stainless steel plate is just one, robust plate. In addition, a puck slides more smoothly over a playing field made of stainless steel because it is smoother than a playing field made of MDF with a plastic layer.

Size and age
