The strong rollers make it possible to cut not only intricate molds, but also heavy cardboard, vinyl, foil and multiple layers of fabric.

The unique design of the pressure rollers means that, unlike other die cutting machines, there is no loss of pressure over time. Every cut is like the first cut.

The high pressure roller design also makes embossing a pleasure with this machine.

Pros and Cons Crafter's Companion Gemini

Pros

Unique to these machines are the separate buttons for pause, play and reverse.

An advantage of this is that I can reverse the plates when cutting, saving me some time and not having to wait for the entire plate to go through the machine.

The Gemini machines, regardless of their size, always take up less space on the work table than other similar machines, because of the unique reversing function.

This means that the machine does not require as much space as other die cutting machines on the market, as you do not need the space to pass the entire sheets through the machine.

The Gemini emerges as one of the fastest and quietest machines on the market.

Compatible with most leading thin metal dies, so all your existing stock of dies can still be used.

The self-protection function prevents the machine from taking on too thick material and it will automatically return the plates, so you don't have to worry about the plates getting stuck in the machine.

Good instructions and details of the required plate of sandwiches are provided by Crafter's Companion, along with full customer support.

With the 3D embossing mat supplied with the machine, you can use your existing dies as embossing folders, it prevents the paper from being die-cut and your creations are embossed instead.

This means that all your dies can now have a second life, saving you money on buying special embossing folders.

Cons

Inserts need to be replaced regularly – Think of it as part of auto-cutting. The same applies to magnetic shims, rubber mats and other sandwich material.

A customer writes:

The shims warped quickly: we were disappointed when our shims warped during our first use. We could of course still use them. And we know that warping is almost inevitable. Still, it was a shame they warped so quickly. TIP – we machined the plates without a die and that made warping better. It also helps to alternate the direction you lay them each time. UPDATE – While editing this post we saw that the replacement shims for the Gemini are actually much cheaper than for other die-cutting and embossing machines.

Conclusion

There is a Gemini machine for different budgets and needs, from the smallest Gemini go to the largest Gemini Pro new to the market with a huge platform base of 12×12 inches!

In any case, the Gemini die-cutting and embossing machine from Crafter's Companion is a powerful multitasking workhorse that every craft room will need.

The machines are well equipped with plates, magnetic and plastic shims and a 3D embossing folder.

The Gemini from Crafter's Companion is truly a crafter's BFF. Make a little room for this machine in your workplace, and you'll be amazed at how much you can do.

The price tag may be high, but it could turn out to be all you need to take your crafting to the next level!
