The protocol is based on the hygiene advice of the RIVM. Each municipality decides for itself whether the local swimming pools are allowed to open.

So ask your own municipality whether a certain swimming pool in your area is open or not. In addition, each website will indicate exactly what the new rules are to prevent the virus from spreading and whether the swimming pool is indeed open or closed.

In some cases you have to make a reservation, because there should not be too many people at the same time. It is also advised to wear a mouth mask in public areas, outside the swimming room.

Do not visit a swimming pool if you have a fever or (mild) symptoms of the virus such as a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, sore throat and chest tightness.
