What is the Quercetti number magnet set?

With this set you get 26 numbers in different colors. The numbers are magnetic and made of plastic.

They can stick to any metal surface, such as the refrigerator or magnetic blackboards (also available from Quercetti).

There are not only numbers, but also calculation symbols such as plus, minus, divided by, fraction.

This way it can be fun for school children to practice with.

What makes the Quercetti number magnets fun?

Learn to count and recognize the numbers at a young age. Learn real math and sums at school age.

They simply stick very well to the refrigerator or other metal surfaces. For example, we also have a metal work table in the kitchen that they can stick on.

What age are number magnets fun for?

  • 2 years is still too young. There are small parts and you really don't want to swallow a magnet.
  • With 3 years old it is fun to just stick them on and sort them by color every now and then. My son was interested in numbers from an early age and, for example, would name all the numbers he saw.
  • At 4 years old, many children can already recognize the numbers and often explain a small sum during the 4th year of life, such as 1 + 1 = 2.
  • At 5 years this continues with perhaps more difficult sums. Many people indicate that toddlers also enjoy putting the numbers on the floor and playing “school” together with other children.
  • From the age of 6 you can use them to practice sums, and perhaps up to the age of 8 with children who have more difficulty with it.

Plus they are just cheerful on the fridge of course!

What is less good about the Quercetti number magnets?

They are very small parts, so if your 3-year-old child still puts things in his mouth, you should not give them.

You should always stay near them when they play with them until school age.

The magnets are also not very strong. No problem for sticking on the fridge or blackboard, but because they hang on the fridge anyway, we wanted to hang drawings with them.

That's just possible. If you have a bit of a curved paper or slightly thicker paint paper from kindergarten, it won't work.

Quercetti as fridge magnets

They are not intended for that, but a pity nonetheless :)

Conclusion

The Quercetti figures are great fun for small children to stick with and schoolchildren to learn from, whether you use them as magnets or just for school play on the floor.
