- Grimm's: colorful wooden toys of quality
- Janod: a quirky educational brand
- Ostheimer: hand-carved waldorf or free school animals (really natural products but expensive!)
- plantoys: Educational toys for different ages
- Melissa and Doug: most affordable educational brand
- Bigjigs Toys: super funny wooden toys
- Joueco: educational toys really suitable for babies and toddlers
- Hape: super fun marble runs and other educational toys
- Fagus: super natural wooden toys for young and old
- Goki Nature: the best finished wooden toys I've come across in my years
- Le Toy Van: Very cute toys, especially in the pretend play atmosphere, such as wooden things for your play kitchen
- Haba: very nice educational brand with a lot for toddlers and toddlers
- Guidecraft: not yet well known in the Netherlands, but seen worldwide as a top educational toy brand
- kapla: one of the nicest original things I've come across lately, and what you can't do with just some wooden planks if you're creative enough!
- Candylab Toys: if you like retro looking toys but don't trust real old toys anymore because of the paint and other parts, then Candylab toys is a brand to check out
- Tegu: wooden toys with a twist. A magnetic twist as their blocks are safe, sturdy and made with magnets inside
- Green toys: Largest selection of BPA-free plastic toys
- Biobuddies: Dutch brand and sustainable alternative to Duplo building blocks
For example, I also had the Dutch brand New Classic Toys on this list, but I saw that they too had a toy recalled because of a choking hazard.
Dolls too small for the recommended age category.
So you see, even the best intentions sometimes make mistakes, but at least they figure it out as quickly as possible.
