With 121 pieces you can build a Mecha armor for the small Captain America figure. This Mech Armor allows Captain America to be the size of some of the big baddies he must defeat.
The set contains a normal size LEGO character with a small helmet. The nice thing about this is that he has two faces: one with a little beard and one without a beard where he smiles. You can put the helmet on so he has the beard or the smiling, clean-shaven face. He also has a small shield on the back where you can store his shield.
The Mecha Armor has a large shield and it LEGO character also has his signature Captain America shield. So both the Mech Armor and the minor character have their shields. The nice thing about this set is that the Mecha Armor has a hand with fingers and a thumb, so he can almost grab things. It's not a very difficult build, but I think the recommended age of seven and up has more to do with the theme than the difficulty of the build.
While it can be tricky to attach the arms and legs to the Mech Armor, these small ball bearings are sturdy and won't come off easily. I had to help my son with this a bit when we bought this for him when he was four. Now he's five years old and that's still a bit too difficult for him, but otherwise he could probably build the rest of the set himself using the instruction booklet.
When you're done with little Captain America and want to put him in the Mecha armor, you can attach his shield to his back leg so you don't lose it. Then you put him in the Mecha armor at the top and close the armor. Now he can move with the Mecha armor, which is also very sturdy to play with thanks to the ball bearings. So you can actually reenact battles with this robot, which is a nice addition.
