They come in nine different shapes and four different colors (red, blue, yellow, and green), so there's no limit when it comes to building options.

Not only do they inspire creative play and motor and spatial skills, but they can also be used to teach shapes, colors, counting and more in a fun way.

Recommended for ages three to eight, the only limit to what they can do with these blocks is their imagination.

Little Tikes Company was founded in the late 60s by Thomas G. Murdough, who was interested in the toy industry. He saw that the toy industry was in a period of intense transformation, with smaller companies and distributors being swallowed up by major manufacturers.

Murdough disagreed with the increasing poor quality of toys and the fact that toy manufacturers focused only on making toys cheaper. He saw the need for plastic toys that could be produced inexpensively and started Little Tikes.

Play doh

The patent for Play-Doh, filed by Noah McVicker in 1956, was granted in 1965, the same year that Rainbow Crafts (the original manufacturer) was sold to General Mills. Hasbro acquired the brand in 1991. The distinctive feature of Play-Doh, namely its recognizable scent, has remained unchanged all these years.

Hasbro moved production from in 2004 Play doh mainly to factories in China and Turkey so it is no longer made in America.
